Pennsylvania established its own semiquincentennial body, America250PA, becoming the first state in the nation to do so. Chaired by Pat Burns, the commission works with counties, municipalities, schools, nonprofits, and heritage groups to support local events, public art, historical projects, and grant-funded programming that highlight Pennsylvania’s role in the nation’s founding and development. America250PA serves as the primary coordinating contact for communities planning America 250 activities across the Commonwealth.
