LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas Raiders have announced a major addition to their coaching staff — hiring Clearfield native Andrew Janocko as their next offensive coordinator under new head coach Klint Kubiak, according to NFL Network insiders.

For Janocko, it’s the latest chapter in a remarkable rise from small-town Pennsylvania to the highest levels of professional football — and another milestone in a journey local readers have followed for years.

A Clearfield Champion

Janocko, born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, played high school football for the Clearfield Bison, graduating in 2007 before walking on as a quarterback at the University of Pittsburgh.

DuBoisLIVE previously celebrated Janocko after he helped lead the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl LX victory as the team’s quarterbacks coach — his first Super Bowl championship.

That “champion” moment wasn’t just big NFL news — it was a hometown celebration, with Clearfield friends, family and local fans proud to see one of their own reach the pinnacle of professional football.

NFL Career And New Opportunity

Janocko, now 37, brings over a decade of coaching experience to the Raiders. He began his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, followed by coaching stints with the Minnesota Vikings, the Chicago Bears, and the New Orleans Saints.

In 2025 he joined the Seattle Seahawks as their quarterbacks coach, contributing to Seattle’s offense in a Super Bowl-winning season.

Now, as he steps into his first official role as NFL offensive coordinator, Janocko reunites with Klint Kubiak — a familiar collaborator from past coaching stops including Seattle and New Orleans.

While Kubiak will call plays himself for the Raiders, Janocko is expected to bring creative energy, offensive expertise, and stability to a Las Vegas unit that struggled in 2025.

A Local Story Takes On New Meaning

For DuBoisLIVE readers who have followed Janocko’s journey from Clearfield youth athlete to NFL champion and now coordinator, this latest appointment is more than a headline — it’s a story of regional pride and perseverance.

“Seeing someone from our own region like Andrew not just make it in the NFL but excel, win a Super Bowl, and now lead an offense at the next level — that’s something special,” one local fan commented when his Super Bowl victory was first announced earlier this year.

As the Raiders’ coaching staff takes shape ahead of the 2026 NFL season, Janocko’s role will be one to watch as he helps guide the team’s offense into a new era — one rooted in the same work ethic and football passion that first took him from Clearfield to the national stage.
