A Classic Story, Brought To Life By Local Talent
Based on the story by L. Frank Baum and featuring iconic music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg, The Wizard of Oz follows Dorothy and her unforgettable companions — the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion — on a journey down the Yellow Brick Road in search of courage, heart, wisdom, and home.
The production is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC and includes background music by Herbert Stothart.
Each year, the Moshannon Valley Drama Club highlights the dedication and talent of its student performers and stage crew, and this year’s musical continues that proud tradition. Audiences can expect colorful costumes, lively musical numbers, and a heartfelt performance that’s perfect for all ages.
A Perfect Family Outing
With evening performances and a Saturday afternoon matinee, the show offers a great opportunity for families, friends, and community members to enjoy live theater while supporting local students and the arts.
Whether you’re revisiting Oz or introducing the story to a new generation, this production promises an entertaining and memorable experience right here in Clearfield County.
So grab your ruby slippers and head to Houtzdale — the Yellow Brick Road awaits.
